The 4 C’s of Diamonds
On every diamond that we buy, our GIA Graduate Gemologists in Fort Lauderdale will examine them for the main factors that determine value:
CUT
The brilliance of a diamond is directly related to it’s proportions and finish. Nicely cut diamonds will have more brightness and sparkle. Poorly cut diamonds may be darker in appearance and thus less valuable.
COLOR
Diamonds may appear colorless (white) or tinted (yellowish). Generally speaking, white diamonds are more valuable than tinted diamonds. However, natural diamonds have been found in every color (red, blue, green, yellow, etc.). Diamonds may also be treated to artificially enhance their color.
CLARITY
Most diamonds contain certain identifying characteristic that are found in their interior.
CARAT
This refers to the size of the diamond.

Went in to sell an old submariner and the experience could not have been more pleasant. The staff were all incredibly friendly and gave me a great price. Recently, I was looking to cash out an old diamond ring I don't use anymore. Back around the end of March I went to Keno Bros. but because of the pandemic they were closed. I then went to another jeweler who was open and made me an offer, and though I'm not sure what it was actually worth, it seemed kind of low, so I held off as long as I could. Driving by last month, I noticed that Keno was re-opened, so I stopped in. To my pleasant surprise, Keno offered me a lot more $$ what the other jeweler offered. And Keno has a pass-through slot where I did not even need to go completely inside their store! But it was secure because there was a locking door behind me to keep out other people. I really appreciate it.. I was down to my last dime and Keno replenished my cash at an excellent offer. Very happy to get this money in this difficult time, and extremely fair.Thank you Keno!

My parents recently passed away in their 80’s and I inherited 54 years of jewelry, coins and watches to sell as part of their estate. I found Keno Brothers through a good friend who did business with them and referred their services to her clients many times. To be honest, I had heard so many things about jewelry stores not being fair or honest when it comes to selling gold and silver. As a result, I was a bit wary of the process and concerned that I would not get a fair price for the items my parents spent a lifetime accumulating. My experience with Keno Brothers could not have gone any better, and dare I say was actually fun! Both Bruce and Brian spent a full afternoon with me going over all my items and making sure they fairly identified each piece. I had a lot of gold that was not marked and they patiently tested each piece to see if it was 10k, 14k or 18k, etc. They also took the time to go through the silver jewelry and coins to find the items that were sterling silver and could be sold. Once we had everything identified, Bruce and Brian also took the time to explain how much they could offer me for each category of items and answered all my questions. When it comes to selling jewelry, there has to be some trust on both sides and I can only say that it did not take me long to feel comfortable and confident that they could be trusted. I very happy to recommend Keno Brothers and give them 5 stars. You never know, you may even have some fun in the process!

Walked in to appraise and possibly sell some gold and watches and coins from my parents recent passing. Got my items reviewed and found out what everything was valued at and decided to sell what they were interested in. I visited the store to repair my wife’s wedding ring where we lost the diamond. Wow, I genuinely feel like I have a friend in the diamond business! Lol. I don't leave very many reviews, but it was refreshing to get real genuine customer service, especially in these times. I'm new to the area and there's jewelry and pawnshops all over these place. I recently left a jewelry store not to far from this location that was uninviting, cold and just felt entitled overall, the opposite of good customer service. But the staff at Keno Brothers Jewelers genuine approach to investing in people shines brighter than just customer service. They buy gold, precious metals, diamonds & gemstones and buy & sell fine jewelry & timepieces. Est. in 1978 they have been one of the largest resellers of watches, Rolex notably, on and off for 40+ years. We just happen to be really lucky they are located here in FTL near the Galleria Mall on EAST Sunrise Blvd.This isn’t Tiffany’s showroom on Fifth Avenue; it feels more like walking into one of the merchants on Diamond Row (the diamond district) in New York City (a.k.a. 47th Street). #IYKYK As in, the real deal. No BS. They know their stuff. Hands down. You want or know exactly what you want or need, you’ve found your place.I’ve been to Keno Bros 4 times. These were comfortable, non-pressured, informational interactions. Honest and to the point, more cordial and caring that I am used to these days. It was definitely a throw back experience from a nicer time working with Bruce the owner.I’ll say it: Old school. But old school works. I cannot say enough nice things about them, and recommend them highly. Go there and see for yourself!
